Watch Out For Spam If You Subscribe To Emails From These Major Brands

There was a huge security breach at Epsilon, the biggest email marketing company, on Friday, leading to thousands (potentially millions) of stolen email addresses stored in databases for several major companies.

The first major brand reported was TiVo, and several others have cropped up over the weekend. Security Week has been keeping an updated list of all the brands affected so far.

Epsilon has stated to customers that only first names or email addresses were stolen, but that still means it's easy for spammers to send you a targeted message with your name from a seemingly trusted email address. It can also help emails get past spam and junk filters.

If you subscribe to emails from any of the following brands, read the message carefully before clicking embedded links. It is likely that you will receive spam messages coming from those brands.
