iEmulators and the BuildStore have joined together to bring you an alternative method of downloading emulators on your favorite devices without ever needing to use the 'date trick' or having to worry about it crashing when the certificate is revoked.
From the creators of MacBuildServer (which helped launch the first few non-jailbroken emulators), the BuildStore is a service that, for a very small fee of $9.99, allows you to register your device and download most of our selection of emulators under the iEmulators brand — which means you also get our full support services, any new update we acquire and, of course, any new emulator or app as well!

The best part? It won't be taken down from time to time like those on our site — it will live through revocations from Apple and you won't need any sort of program such as Cydia or iTunes to obtain them. It's all included in one single package that will last a year until it expires, in which case you can always renew.

Are they the same emulators?
Most, yes. Our current selection available through iEmulators.com will also be available through the BuildStore. Any new update we acquire and update here will also be updated over there at the earliest convinience.
Do I have to pay?
Yes, it is a paid service ($9.99). The way BuildStore manages their own registrations works a little differently from ours and since that method isn't quite cheap to acquire, the fee goes towards maintaining that.
Will those get revoked by Apple too?
The BuildStore works a little differently than we do. Their method, although certainly not foolproof, is harder to take down than ours so you won't be going through the revocations we go through here from time to time.
Will iEmulators still be free?
Yes! Although the BuildStore is a paid service, iEmulators will remain and continue to be free. As long as you don't mind occasional revocations from Apple and app crashes, you should be good; however, BuildStore is a good alternative to those who just don't want to deal with those types of things anymore.
Who runs the BuildStore?
A few of the creators of MacBuildServer. If you haven't been on the emulation scene too long, you might not remember them but they did big breakthroughs in making available non-jailbroken emulators a few years ago so they definitely know what they're doing.
If I have a subscription, what happens if I get a new device?
Since devices carry different, unique numbers required for the registration, if you get a new device you must re-register it. We're working with the team to tackle this issue with special promotions or lowered price.
Will my subscription auto-renew?
The team is working on building this type of auto-renew feature, but as of now there is no such thing. You will have to manually re-new your subscription.
What happens in a year to my apps if I don't renew?
Typically, the certificate would expire and the app will stop opening.
Who do I contact when I have an issue on their site?
It would be faster to contact them (at hello@builds.io. However, they live on a different timezone from you so you might not see a reply until the next day. In any case, you are always welcomed to contact us.
If you have any other questions, please contact us and we'll add it here.
Always make sure to use our own link ( https://iemulators.com/buildstore) to register, otherwise we cannot help you with future support questions on it - this is also our way to track traffic over there from here. As long as you're linking from this site (via the green buttons) to theirs, everything should be good.

Note: iEmulators is not responsible for any ads found within emulators, we merely host freely available versions we find whenever we aren't signing them ourselves. If you want an interruption-free experience, we highly recommend an alternative service called the BuildStore.

    iOS Emulators & Apps

The applications on this section will only work for iOS devices such as iPhones, iPads and iPods (depending on iOS version). They require no jailbreak and are easily downloadable by tapping "install" and waiting for a pop-up to appear. Most apps may be revoked at any moment, this means they will stop working; however, you can always come back and re-install them when they're updated.

A blue thumbs up indicates that the app is currently working and being updated frequently.
A red thumbs up indicates that the app hasn't been updated in a while and may or may not work.

    How To Open Apps

Before you open an app, you must make sure you trust the certificate it was signed with. Trusting certificates has changed since iOS 9. Before you could just "Trust" an installed app when opening it, however this function has now been moved into Settings. If you follow these steps, you'll be able to open and play your favorite emulators and apps in no time.

  • Go to Settings
  • Go to General
  • Tap "Device Management" ("Profiles" in iOS 9.1)
  • Tap the dedicated enterprise company name.
  • Tap "Trust" and you're done!

    • The Date Trick

Back in the day, when devices were still running iOS 4.0 - 7.0, emulators would require the 'date trick' in order to install and open. This means that you needed to roll the date back on your device. If you are running some legacy OS on some older device, this may still work. Please remember that this method was patched in iOS 8 and may no longer work on newer devices, however 64-bit devices running on iOS 9 apparently seem to be excluded for some unexplained reason!

    • 1. Switch to the "Apps" tab.
    • 2. Look for the app you'd like to install and tap the section.
    • 3. Now tap the 'install' button at the bottom.
    • 4. Immediately go to 'Settings' on your iOS device.
    • 5. Head to General, then Date & Time.
    • 6. Toggle off "Set Automatically."
    • 7. Scroll the date back one day or to 2012 in some cases.
    • 8. Watch the app download and hit "retry" if prompted.
    • 9. Open once while the date is rolled back.
    • 10. Set your date back to the present.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Featured Question

What do I do when the app won't verify or open?
The app was revoked so unfortunately you must wait until the app is back and updated on the site. Then you can simply delete the old one and re-install a new version! If you're worried about your data, please remember that some apps have dropbox sync and others can be backed up to a computer via iTunes.
    How do I trust emulators?
Before iOS 9, all you had to do to install an emulator or app outside the App Store was hit "trust" when prompted. For some reason, Apple moved this into Settings. In order to open apps on this new version of iOS, head to Settings, General, Profiles & Device Management and then tap the profile of the emulator you downloaded - only here may you hit "Trust" so that the app opens.
What's iEmulators and how does it work?
iEmulators is a site that allows you to easily install emulators and other apps on your non-jailbroken device. The way we are able to do this depends on many factors, but many of the apps are just distributed through an enterprise certificate that allows anyone to install it outside the App Store.
How do I install an emulator?
Simply head to the "Apps" tab, tap on the emulator you want, then tap "install!" The emulator should start downloading immediately.
My emulator doesn't finish downloading, what do I do?
In some cases, the certificate of the emulator has been revoked and you must wait till an updated version is available again, then you can delete the old and and re-install the app. Follow us on Twitter to find out when apps are updated.
    What's the date trick?
Back in the day, the date trick was an effective method to install apps that have had their certificates revoked by Apple. Essentially, rolling your date back allowed you to install and open these apps. This method was patched in iOS 8 but seems to have found its way back to 64-bit devices on iOS 9, however it is not reliable anymore.
    What are 64-bit devices?
    iPhone 5s and forward.
    iPad Air and forward.
    iPad Mini 2 and forward.
    iPod Touch 6.

Please note that the new Date Trick may not work on some iPads.
I didn't restart but the app crashes when I open it unless I do the date trick every few hours, why?
This is an issue that has been reported to occur in iOS 8.0.2. It seems Apple is patching our kind of emulators by verifying the certificate (which only required the date trick once before) every few hours or daily. We cannot do anything about this but avoid installing iOS 8.0.2 on other devices.
Should I update to iOS X?
If you want to continue using our emulators, you should be careful when updating to the latest version of iOS. It may sometimes break the app download process and you won't be able to download anything until a fix is found.
My device restarted and now some of the apps won't open?
Either they were revoked or if you used the date trick, the thing is that it doesn't last forever. Every time you restart your device, you must roll your date back once more and open each app.
I downloaded an app and it overwrote another one I had, why?
A few apps were signed with the same provisional profile that forces them to install over each other.
Will I get in trouble for installing apps?
You shouldn't - many people have been doing this for years.
I downloaded an app and it crashes when I open it.
If this is the case, there's one thing you can try: roll your date back and open the app once while the date is rolled back, then you are allowed to set the date back to the present and use the app. If this didn't work, then the app doesn't work on your device or iOS.
An app was working fine for a few days, then all of a sudden it crashes when I open it now, why?
Sorry about this. These apps and the method we use to install them are very unpredictable. Just roll your date back and open it once to get it working again!
I want to record my screen but they don't work, why?
The currently available screen recorders work only on iOS 6 devices! We are working hard to get some updated versions, stay tuned.
    Can you get "X" app?
As iEmulators continues to grow, we will expand our selection. This may take some time as some apps aren't entirely made for non-jailbroken devices by their developers. If you know any developers that may be interested in hosting with us, tell them to contact us.
The emulator doesn't have any games, how can I play?
Emulators are given as is without any games (or ROMs). It is up to you to obtain this as we cannot legally procure them and offer them for you.
Who are the developers of these apps?
When browsing the "Apps" tab, check the descriptions on each to find information on the developers and their websites!
I updated to iOS "X" and now an app doesn't work, what can I do?
That's unfortunate. Many new iOS updates patch a lot of things that made emulators work in an older iOS. The only thing we can do is contact the developer about this but there isn't an assurance that they'll fix it quickly.
Where can I find cheats for GBA4iOS 2.0?
Cheaters don't have it easy, it is a tricky business to find working cheats for GBA4iOS 2.0 that function or don't make the game glitch. All we can say is that you should search on Google to your best of your ability.
Why do you guys have ads?
I know everybody hates ads but the truth remains: they pay the bills. iEmulators has been running free of charge for years already. When we redesigned iEmulators 2.0, we decided that ads will be implemented to cover man hours, multiple hosting costs, domain bills, etc. We tried to make them not too imposing or spammy. We hope you can understand why we added them.
