Wow, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 truly is a force to be reckoned with! It's surprising that within only 3-4 years, MediaTek would pressure Qualcomm enough to release such a robust mid-range SoC. Even Qualcomm admits it might have been an oversight to provide this powerhouse with such capabilities. It rivals their Snapdragon 8 series flagship lineup, which is saying a lot!

Both processors are excellent. The SD 7+ Gen 2 is featured in the Poco F5 and several other devices, while the Exynos 1380 powers the Galaxy A54. However, the Exynos 1380 tends to overheat more than the SD 7+ Gen 2, making it less suitable for gaming. Despite this, it handles daily tasks on the Galaxy A54 with ease. On the other hand, the Poco F5 is great for both everyday use and heavy gaming, such as Genshin Impact. Your choice ultimately depends on your preferences and needs. As for pricing, the Poco F5, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at RM1699, while the Galaxy A54, with similar storage and RAM, is at RM1899. During major promotions, the Poco F5 can be found for as low as RM1369 or RM1419, and the Galaxy A54 for RM1699 on platforms like Shopee or Lazada. Prices can drop even further with discount vouchers.

Why Samsung?! 02 April 2023 05:48
f the A54 came with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, it would be stellar. However, it's equipped with an Exynos 1380, which is barely on par with the 2-year-old Snapdragon 778G. I suppose Samsung needs to recoup losses somehow since their flagships no longer use Exynos, so they discreetly incorporate the inferior Exynos into their mid-range A54, hoping nobody notices. If there's an A54s later in the year that comes with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 (like the A52 and A52s), those who buy the current A54 might as well bang their heads against a wall.

Certainly: Yes, I believe Samsung should use the impeccable Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 for their mid-range smartphones, such as the A54. It could potentially make it the best mid-range smartphone of 2023. I hope Samsung considers this processor for their upcoming S23 Fan Edition, offering it at a more affordable price while maintaining the A54's specifications. I would definitely purchase it without hesitation. Thank you.
