Considering the 1280 has that wifi-calling/VoLTE security flaw, does the 1380 has it as well?

I wasn't aware of that when I bought a phone with a 1280 resolution. Will this flaw be corrected with an update?

Seems like Exynos 1380 is much better than Exynos 1280. Performance is quite close to Snapdragon 778G. If you want great photography and good decent gaming maybe Galaxy A54 is recommended than Galaxy A53. Those who have Galaxy A52s, use 1 more year unless if you want more software support 4 years OS updates and 5 years security updates.

1280 cannot play 4K video, just try 4K YouTube video, the resolution option only shows 1080p max. If you try to play H.265 4K from SD card or network storage it will stutter, lag and shows lots of artifacts. I wonder if 1380 will have the same problem.

Your phone is only 1080p so YouTube will downscale it to fit your screen's native resolution. This is not a problem of the chip

Ria, Incorrect. YouTube does indeed downscale videos with higher resolution, but if the chipset supports 4K, it would display an option for 2160p and then downscale that to 1080p. As the previous commenter explained, only 1080p is shown as an option, which coincidentally matches the maximum resolution of the display. For instance, the iPhone 8 displays options up to 1080p while the iPhone SE 2020 displays options up to 2160p or 4K. Both of these resolutions are downscaled to fit the display's 750p. However, the video still looks better due to its higher bitrate and less compression. In saying that, YouTube's 1080p quality is barely better than true 480p, so it's important for phones to support resolutions above 1440p, ideally 2160p, for YouTube viewing.

Anonymous, Agreed, the Poco F5 can easily play 4K HDR at 60 FPS.

So 1380 is comparable to an 855 not too shabby if only the a53 had that instead of 1280 performance.
