A few days ago, along with its new Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra flagship smartphones, Xiaomi had also launched the Mi Band 6 smart fitness band in China. The same device has been announced for the global markets as Mi Smart Band 6.

Today, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 officially goes on sale in China. The standard variant is priced at 229 yuan, which is about $35 while the other variant that comes with NFC support is priced at 279 yuan, roughly $43.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 features a 1.56-inch AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved glass and a screen resolution of 152×486 pixels, 326 PPI, and up to 450 nits brightness. Xiaomi says that the display is about 50 percent larger than the predecessor.

It supports more than 130 watch faces and over 60 watch faces in the global model. It also allows users to customize watch faces with their personal photos. Similar to its predecessor, it also has support for animated watch faces.

Being a fitness tracker, it has support for up to 30 exercise modes and can auto-detect some like Outdoor running, walking, treadmill running, outdoor cycling, rowing, and elliptical training. The Mi Band 6 also supports 24×7 heart rate monitoring (PPG) and SpO2 (Blood Oxygen measurement).

It can also track sleep and gather data about Sleep breathing quality, REM, and nap time periods. Other tracking options include Breath exercise, Stress monitoring, Female health tracking, and PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence).

The NFC version, which is limited to China only, has supports for features like tap-and-pay, among others. It also comes with Xiao AI assistant built-in, which is also limited to China. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and has 5ATM water-resistant ratings.

The wearable band is powered by a 125mAh LiPo battery that is promised to offer a battery life of up to 14 days. It is being offered in six color options — Black, Orange, Yellow, Olive, Ivory, and Blue.
