How to set up IT Company’s SMM: 5 key steps shared with us—at the first of yan.ua/l/UTCD workshops—by Nelia Serebro, Head of SMM Department at Netpeak Group Ukraine. Step 1️⃣: Defining the Goal At this stage, it's important to understand what your company/department/team's real goal is and how social media might help you achieve it. This, naturally, leads to a meeting with the product and/or top manager to clarify the company's long-term vision. 📕 Speaker Recommends: “The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement,” a business novel by Jeff Cox and Eliyahu Goldratt. Step 2️⃣: Developing the Strategy and OKR/KPI This part, together with consistent statistics from several sources, helps the company avoid team burnout and budget drain on content/paid traffic.  📕 Speaker Recommends: “Measure What Matters” by John Doerr. Step 3️⃣: Choosing the Tactics ▪️ Plan everything—in accordance with the SMM strategy, be it weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually; ▪️ Define the main control points and benchmarks for each period. ▪️ Create a content plan for the “evergreen,” as well as the situational content. ▪️ Publish content and follow statistical indicators, compiling analytical reports weekly and/or monthly. “It’s important not to dissapear from the radars for long. Keep up the pace,” recommends Ms Serebro. Step 4️⃣: Resources and Further Steps: ▪️ Narrow in the SMM budget and allocate funds per the priorities; ▪️ Gather the team, considering the needs and the amount of work; ▪️ Engage the C-suite to support and publicise the company on social media. Step 5️⃣: Hypothesis Testing and Scaling See the recording: lnkd.in/ePpEcmed 📼 ℹ️ Ukrainian TechComms Days 2024 (lnkd.in/dAnQjzWs) is organised by the #IТUkraineAssociation.
