One UI 5.0 (Android 13) Update, Features, Release Date & Eligible Devices

The One UI 4.1 version is almost finished rolling out on all the major Galaxy devices. Samsung has brought dozens of new features with the Android 12 version. The next Android 13-based One UI 5.0 version will soon release for major Galaxy devices including Galaxy S22, S21, S20, Note 20, Z Fold 3, Fold 2, and Flip 3.

Update (Aug 02): No Beta Launching Today for Galaxy S22 Series

Rumors and fake news are spreading today about One UI 5.0 Beta launching for Galaxy S22 series. Well, sadly, I have to say it is false news. There is no beta testing program for today for any Galaxy devices. A user in South Korea, for fun, published a fake image of a beta launching poster in the Navar forum. Unluckily, other users saw the banner and felt that it is real, and shared it everywhere. As per previous news, Samsung has delayed the One UI 5.0 Beta testing program for a later date.

Update (July 30): One UI 5.0 Beta Postponed to August

The news coming from South Korea reports Samsung has postponed the One UI 5.0 Beta program to next month. The next beta testing program will now start in August in select countries. The report mentions that there were some serious issues found in the Android 13 beta version. It will take some time to solve those serious bugs, and later Samsung will decide on the launching date. The next version is being tested with internal employees which have discovered these bugs in the initial version.

Update (July 27): Beta Update Could be Delayed

As per the new source, Samsung may have postponed the One UI 5.0 Beta testing program for next month. We don’t the exact reason behind it, but SamMobile claims Google could be behind the delay in the release date. Last week users found the One UI 5 Beta forum on the Samsung Community website, but some users mentions it opened last September. Now we should wait till next month to get the official confirmation about the release date.

Update (July 05): One UI 5.0 Beta Now Available for Samsung Employees Internally

As per the new report, Samsung has rolled out the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta version for its employees. It seems the company has conducted a beta program internally to give the final touch before distributing it to the end-users. Recently, the Samsung Blockchain Wallet app has received Android 13 support, which means we are near to getting the beta version. As per the sources, the company will start the beta program in the third week of this month.

Update (July 02): One UI 5.0 may not Bring Changes to UI Design

As per the tipster Ice Universe, the next One UI 5.0 software version will not bring many changes to the UI design. Further, he added that Samsung will not change the icons and animations. According to the source, compared to the current One UI 4.0 firmware, the next Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update will not carry much weight. We should see what changes it will bring to the upcoming One UI 4.1.1 version.

Update (June 28): One UI 5.0 Beta will open in the third week of July

According to SamMobile, Samsung will open the One UI 5.0 beta testing program in the third week of July. The website further stated the final or stable Android 13-based One UI 5.0 software update will roll out in October 2022. The first device to enter the beta testing program will be Galaxy S22 series, and also, the same device will get a stable firmware version in October. If this news becomes true, then in the coming days, we could see an official banner for beta joining in the Samsung Members app.

Samsung is now working on the upcoming One UI 5.0 beta firmware version. As per finding in the firmware tracking tools, Samsung has started the development of the Android 13 beta version for flagship Galaxy S22 series smartphones. The spotted beta firmware is S906NKSU2ZVF6 and it has been found in South Korea. As per the news, the company could start a beta testing program in July 2022, earlier than expected. Further, Galaxy S22, S22+ & S22 Ultra will be the first device to enter the beta club. .
